"Walk With Me"

This was a night I will never forget, so I wanted to share this with you in hopes that this message will help you as much as it has helped me.

Mark 2 Jesus Heals a Crippled Man

I encourage you to look up this scripture, even if it is the online Bible easy to read version! (it is stated in the video below as well). The message here that we learned that night was: A paralyzed man was given to Jesus in hopes to heal him, but what I loved so much about this was how Jesus was so blunt. He told the man his sins were forgiven, and to get up. “I tell you, stand up. Take your mat and go home.” What does the man do? He gets up, and is able to walk back home to his family who has been waiting for this day to arrive. It is time to get up.

Everything may seem to be “too much” for you to get up off your mat, but God wants you to solve one thing, and that is the ROOT of your issue…not the fruit. Do not focus on the little, petty details (the fruit), really focus on the root of it. You may be thinking, why do the same issues continue to happen to me? But please, do not blame yourself. Your mistakes do not define you for who you are! You are not defined by your past! GET UP! Get up from whatever situation has you down on your mat. Rather that is anxiety, depression, addiction, continuous heartbreak, family issues, school, etc. God wants you to get up…learn the root of your issue…and walk with Him. Surround yourself with the RIGHT people, and tell the wrong ones: You only know me by my history, but you don’t know me by my destiny!

When you are going through your continuous situation, your expectations may not align with your actual experience, because God is trying to give you a revelation of who He is! He doesn’t want you to be a lost sheep who is going in a circle alone. He wants to finally guide you to what amazing plans He has instore for you. But it is up to you to listen to him. That gut feeling you receive when you are going through something you know may not be good for you? That is Him trying to reach out to you to GET. YOU. OUT! To get you up off your mat. Listen to Him.

I loved this service so much, I can truly say this night has changed my life, mindset, and heart forever. I felt stuck and confused, like I was stuck in a revolving door with no exit. Heartbreak after heartbreak, I was so focused on finding the right guy and having a relationship that I wasn’t focused on myself, what I was portraying, or the many red flags that were right in front of me. God spoke, but I chose to ignore it because my focus was elsewhere.

The night I attended this service, I surrendered to God; my heart was so full. But I became upset on the ride home because I could not figure out the root of my issue…something I have been trying to figure out for years. I prayed to God my usual prayer but then asked Him to help me, to help me learn what this root is. Then BOOM! He answered, clear as day.

I now know what my root is, and so much weight has been lifted off my shoulders I carried for years. I swore to God in that moment that I will live a life of meaning, that I will get up and walk with Him, to follow His path for me and trust in the process. I am traveling, spending time with the right people and letting go of the wrong ones, I live for the present, I do not define myself for the past mistakes and sins, staying pure, reading a chapter in the Bible every day, and I am moving forward…what God wants all of us to do is to move forward.

I hope this message will be a breakthrough for you as it was for me. If you feel lost, pray. Figure out your root, ask Him to help you, give yourself up to Him and change your lifestyle. Get up, and God will meet you, to walk beside you. He is always there, you just need to listen.
